The pricing for commissioned work begins at $800, rising depending on the complexity of the requested work. I do offer discounts for multiple covers - trilogies are particularly popular, so if you're curious about that (or anything else), don't be afraid to ask! My process is as follows -

EMAIL ME

Fill out the form on the Contact page, or send a direct message to phil@phildannelsdesign.com. We'll email back and forth a bit, and I'll ask you questions about what exactly you'd like to achieve with your cover. We'll develop that vision together.

MOCKUP

Once we have a good idea of what we're aiming for, I'll create a mockup. This is also occasionally called the "rough" - an early version of the final cover, where all the major elements are put into place, but detail work hasn't begun. Once this is approved, we'll lock the cover in place - no more major changes are allowed after this point. I'll dive into detail work, really making all the elements in the piece sing.

FINAL COVER AND PAYMENT

I'll present the final cover to you. We can do a round or two of minor corrections - maybe you'd like the image to be more blue, or the title of the book needs to be slightly bigger. Any changes after these rounds will incur an additional charge.

Once you're completely happy with the cover, we'll take care of payment. I accept payment via PayPal. If you are unable to do this, let me know and we can work out an alternative method. I'll send you an invoice, and once that's paid, you'll receive your book cover plus any extras you are entitled to. Easy as pie.
